A Management Mentor can augment your own experience and provide support and guidance just when you need it. We have had wide personal experience of management and can provide you with direct suggestions based on that experience. We can help you take an objective view and keep you focussed on a successful outcome.
Following an initial (free) discussion, you determine how much time you need. This could be anything from a day a week to a half day a month, plus a day or two up front to review your current situation in detail.
We can act as a sounding board for any specific problems or concerns, and introduce you to simple tools and techniques for being more effective.
A typical Mentoring assignment might include an intial conversation with a manager to determine their skills and issues, followed by creating a plan for what level of support is needed for both day-to-day management and for key events e.g. appraisals, sales presentations, project planning etc. Ongoing support might include a weekly confidence building phone review, help with planning a team meeting or putting a presentation together. We can also review resourcing and help with recruitment planning or look at job roles with a view to improving utilization of both management and staff time.
