About Jacqui
Jacqui has been mentoring SME business managers/owners to achieve their goals for over 8 years now. Prior to that she worked in senior management and leadership roles for a variety of technical and other organisations.
Jacqui has an MBA, specialising in Financial Strategy, Managing in the External Environment (Marketing), and Creative Management (Managing Innovation) where she graduated with distinction. She is uniquely qualified in both IT (MBCS, CITP) and Business Management (MBA, FCMI).
Management Mentoring experience – Jacqui has wide experience in senior management, and mentoring middle and junior managers. This includes both direct management responsibility, and managing difficult and challenging client teams as an outsourced manager. She has expertise in strategic planning and formal project planning to deliver business solutions involving new ideas. Her experience is particularly strong in helping develop effective management within Innovative IT companies.
Project Management Mentoring experience – Jacqui has worked with a wide variety of industries including information technology, utilities, retail, pharmaceuticals, service, government, manufacturing, professional institutes and not-for-profit organisations, with responsibility for budgets from £10k to £9m. She is trained in Prince 2 (The main project management standard in the UK and Europe) and has helped create a strong project management framework in several companies.
Innovation Management Mentoring experience - in addition to running the innovation management stream of a change management programme for a major IT outsourcing company, she has brought innovation and creative thinking to all her roles. She has created and delivered a wide variety of creative thinking workshops, followed up by individual mentoring of managers.
Innovative New Business Mentoring experience – as part of the Government’s ‘Investigating an Innovative idea’programme, Jacqui has mentored over 20 new businesses with their strategy, marketing, IP, finance, resourcing and planning. She is also an approved IMP3rove Innovations Guide.
Interim Management experience – Jacqui has 4 years experience with an outsourcing company where she worked on a variety of client based assignments, and has undertaken several significant interim management roles.
Workshops - Jacqui uses a wide range of creative thinking techniques and has facilitated many seminars and workshops for groups ranging from 6 to 200 people and is familiar with working with a diverse range of different people and situations. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster (the highest level of communication and leadership) with Toastmasters International.
Jacqui is an approved Business Adviser with ibd (initiatives in business development), an IMP3rove Guide, a DTI Innovations Mentor and an approved supplier to Business Link.
