MY EMPTY HAND - MARTIAL ARTS - KARATE
To search for the old is to understand the new.
The old, the new

This is a matter of time.
In all things man must have a clear mind.

Who will pass it on straight and well?
 - Gichin Funakoshi
I was extremely fortunate to study Shotokan Karate for many years under one of the best, if not the best, teachers - Sensei Enoeda. He set exceptionally high standards for his own students - which very occasionally I reached; not nearly often enough for his liking I suspect. But Karate takes much time and dedication, and as life has become busier other things have called my attention and I had to give it up. But Karate teaches you many things besides how to defend yourself physically, and it is my hope that some of these have stuck with me, even though I no longer train at the level I once did. If you have the time and the opportunity, there is no doubt that you will benefit in ways you can only imagine!
