Are
you nervous about Public Speaking?
Here at Chiltern Speakers in Beaconsfield
, we practice making speeches and off-the-cuff talks
supported by feedback from other members. It's a fun way to overcome the nerves
that many people feel when speaking in public and
an inexpensive way to improve your skills. Guests
are always welcome - it costs nothing to come along and there is no obligation
to speak until you are ready to do so. You
will:- - become more confident in front
of an audience
- learn to think on your feet
- learn and practice techniques for preparing
speeches and presentations
- improve communication
& listening skills
- learn leadership skills
- meet other like-minded people
We use the tried and tested programme from Toastmasters International which works
both for the most nervous beginner as well as those who just need the practice.
Upon joining, the basic Toastmaster manual will help you work your way through
a series of 10 short speeches. You work at your own pace, with no pressure, and
there is always plenty of help available. The joining fee is just £12 with a membership
fee of £30 payable every 6 months. New members are always welcome, whatever your
age or speaking needs .
You will learn how to organise
a speech, how to use gestures, how to speak with conviction
and sincerity and how to motivate your audience. So
come along as a guest and see how it works!
