Business Conversations...

The idea is that a small group of small business owners/managers meet up on a monthly basis to answer business related questions and discuss and resolve issues that they are experiencing in an informal but facilitated group. There is no fee and no commitment to come regularly, although obviously I hope you will. Just an agreement that, in return for the group helping with any problems and advice that you need, you will share your own knowledge and ideas with the rest of the group. I will facilitate the conversation, making sure it stays on track, that everyone gets an opportunity to ask for help if they choose to, plus bring my own knowledge and experience to help resolve any problems or questions raised. Your questions or 'issues' don't need to be complex. It may be that you'd like some additional ideas for marketing, have a difficult customer, need to review your business goals, haven't recruited staff before, want to use technology but don't know where to start or need some tips on managing suppliers better etc. etc.

Where and when?

The next meeting will be on 23rd September between 2pm and 5pm at the Bull Hotel in Gerrards Cross. (Usually the 4th Thursday of the month). You can arrive any time and stay as long/short as you want - I'll be there all afternoon. Although there's no need to book, it helps to know who's coming. If you have a particular issue to discuss please let me know beforehand, if you can, so I can prepare accordingly.

Why am I doing this?

Over the 7 years that I've been working as a business consultant to small businesses, I've found that many don't need a huge amount of support or help, but do get value talking to other small business owners who have experienced similar problems. By running this group, I hope to be able to help many more small businesses, and to get a better understanding of the current issues that small businesses are experiencing which will help me become a better consultant. I do hope you will come along, if only to find out what it is all about! If you know any other small business who would benefit from this, please invite them too.

At the moment, this group is open to all local Female run businesses. (We also welcome the odd Male!)
